shareholders of Alvic, a portfolio company of KKR and Art\u00e1 Capital, in the acquisition of Stratagem. Alvic is a Spanish company specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of components for the furniture and decoration industry. Stratagem is a French leading company in the production of made-to-measure Compact and HPL worktops and doors.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1960, Alvic\u2019s products consist of mainly high-quality panels and components for the furniture and decoration industry. They manufacture in 6 production facilities located in Spain and the USA, through partner-distributors, DIY retailers, direct to manufacturers and a network of 50 \u201cAlvic Centers\u201d in Spain and France or \u201cLioher Centers\u201d in the USA.<\/p>\n<p>Alvic has a workforce of 1100 full term employees and is a global benchmark in the manufacturing and distribution of components for the furniture and decoration industry. In 2021, the group generated sales of c.\u20ac240M and an EBITDA of c.\u20ac60M.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1987 in Bozouls, in the Occitania region, Stratagem specialises in the production and distribution of high-quality bespoke worktops and doors. In 2021, it generated \u20ac14 million in revenue and has around 100 FTEs and a 10,000 sqm production site.<\/p>\n<p>This acquisition is the result of the Alvic Group\u2019s strategy to invest in selected international markets, particularly in France where it has already announced the expansion of its Alvic Centers, a network of its own shops for professionals. Stratagem will enable the Alvic Group to strengthen its offer of high-quality bespoke worktops in France and Spain in the first instance, before expanding the service to other markets.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the acquisition, synergies will be created between the two companies, taking advantage of the technological, production and service advances of both and exchanging best practices and processes of operational excellence.
